Watch the Alabama Crimson Tide vs the Vanderbilt Commodores Online Oct. 8, 2011
SEC fans are glad to see a welcome matchup when they watch the Alabama Crimson Tide vs the Vanderbilt Commodores online at 1 p.m. EDT, Saturday, Oct. 8, 3011, from Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Alabama has already demonstrated why it is always a perennial top-contender for the national title. Although A.J. McCarron, a U.S. Army All-American local product out of Mobile, has inherited the signal calling duties from the now NFL-playing national championship QB Greg McElroy, The Tide has an emerging talented replacement in Trent Richardson filling in the shoes of Heisman Trophy Winner Mark Ingram who left the college world for the lucrative employment of an NFL RB. Through the first five games of the 2011 season, Richardson has rushed for 601 yards, averaging 6,3 yards per carry and has scored 10 times. His running mate Eddie Lacey has nearly 400 yards in the same time, averaging 8.4 yards per carry and has scored five times. Bama definitely is a running machine in 2011. McCarron has only tossed four TDs. Vanderbilt opened the 2011 season with three non-conference consecutive wins against teams nowhere near the caliber of Alabama. They met South Carolina in their first SEC game of the season, losing 21-3 on Sept 24. The off week may help prepare the Commodores to face the Tide, but good luck with that effort. Andy’s top RBs, Zac Stacy and Jerron Seymour do not matchup with Bama’s running game.
